Abstract
This chapter delves into the potential of mobile augmented reality (AR) to revolutionize the design of cultural heritage souvenirs (CHS). It introduces a comprehensive design framework that merges the Vision in Design (ViP) and Creative Intelligence (CI) methods, guiding designers through the process of creating immersive and interactive CHS. The framework is divided into two phases with three distinctive levels, focusing on context, interaction, and product design. The chapter also discusses the application of this framework in a real-world case study, demonstrating how AR can enhance the visitor experience and preserve cultural heritage. By addressing the challenges and opportunities in CHS design, this chapter offers valuable insights and practical guidance for professionals in the field.
