The opening lecture on the first day was given in English by Hon Mr. Tong Ka Wah, Ronny S.C., Senior Counsel. On the second day, Dr. TU Kai, Professor of Tsinghua University, made his speech by Mandarin. On the third day, Prof. Mr. Justice HSU Tzong Li, Professor of National Taiwan University College of Law, Former Justice of the Constitutional Court, gave his speech on 「市民不服從與台灣的太陽花學運」. On the Fourth day, Dr. Wong Wai Lun, Max, Senior Media Worker, shared his experience on this topic. On the last day, Mr. Lam Kwok Fai, Osmond, Bar Council Member, gave a speech on “Rule of Law & Civil Disobedience”. In memory of the honourable Dr. Chung Chi Yung, one of the founders of Hong Kong Shue Yan University and the first female judge in Chinese History, the Dr. Chung Distinguished Lectures have been chosen as the theme of this year’s Law Week so as to commemorate the outstanding contribution of Dr. Chung to higher education in Hong Kong. The opening lecture on the first day was given in English by Her Honour Judge Bebe Chu Pui-ying, Deputy High Court Judge and Principal Family Court Judge of the HKSAR on the topic: “Open Justice and Transparency in Family Proceedings”. On the second day, The Honourable Ms. Justice Wu Xiao-fang, the Supreme People’s Court Judge from the Mainland China made her speech on the topic: “Women and Law”. On the last day, The Honourable Ms. Justice Huang Lu-shing, a retired Presiding Justice of the Supreme Administrative Court of Taiwan gave her speech on the topic: “Female Judges in Taiwan: Past, Present and Future”.
