Abstract: | The choice of a suitable language and environment for the implementation of fuzzy knowledge-based system shells are discussed and an approach established. Desirable features for such systems are stated. The three languages used to implement a prototype fuzzy knowledge-based system (SYSTEM Z-1) for comparative studies are Lisp, Pascal, and APL. The implementation of SYSTEM Z-1 is described, and the theoretical and experimental results of the studies are presented in detail. The benefits of implementing such system using more than one language are also discussed. |
