Abstract
Existing VR emotional support applications often lack real-time
adaptability and meaningful interaction with user emotions. This
study explores an emotionally responsive VR system that visualizes
brainwave data to create immersive and adaptive experiences. Using a research through design (RtD) methodology and an iterative
prototyping process, this project examines how real-time biofeedback may enhance user interaction and emotional awareness in
virtual environments. The system integrates EEG-based feedback
with environmental dynamics, applying art therapy principles and
meditation techniques to support emotional engagement, regulation practice, and self-reflection. This work is exploratory and does
not claim clinical efficacy.
