Abstract
馮夢龍將二十回本三遂平妖傳增補成四十回本新平妖傳,不僅彌補了原書人物來歷不明故事交代不清的缺陷,而且將主要人物王則胡永兒等妖魔化,又明確提出妖由人興的觀點,還補寫了大量的世情故事,增強了小說的現實感.
FENG Meng-long turns twenty-chapter Sansui Pacifying Demons into forty-chapter New Pacifying Demons, improving the unclearness of the origin of characters and the plot of the story. It demonizes main characters WANG Ze and HU Yong-er and proposes the idea of “demons from man”. It strengthens the sense of reality by adding lots of plots.
