Abstract
Based on the Database of China and Korea’s commonly-used Modern Chinese Characters, this book explores to consider Korea’s modern Chinese characters as a closed system for the first time and carries out the quantitative statistics and analysis of the quantities, species and forms towards the Chinese characters within the above system, including from the materials of Table of Korea’s Modern Chinese Characters, Table of Korea’s Chinese Characters Test, etc. The conclusion will greatly contribute to the studies of the extraterritorial spread of Chinese characters, the comparison of Chinese characters between China and Korea, the standardization of Chinese characters unicode in Chinese cultural sphere and the Chinese characters teaching in Korea. Meanwhile, this book also attaches an important significance to the Chinese characters studies by countries and the relevant teaching strategy from respective countries’ perspective.
