Abstract
The academic works by law reviews in the United States play indispensable role in scholarly publication and legal professional training. This article will begin by taking a brief look into the history and the status quo of American law reviews, in an attempt to learn from the success and the value of the special student-editing mechanism. However, that model is not perfect. Thus, for the need for improvement and reform arises. On the other side, scholars in China and Korea are attracted by the model and transplanted the "law review" into their countries. During the work, the limitation of the model should not be ignored. Furthermore, both of those imitating journals have difficulties of their own, since adopters take different approaches for different purposes. Besides offering training opportunities, the Chinese ones were designed to challenge the bureaucracy in academia, while the Korean ones are to fill in a gap in the context of globalization. In the global age, adopting law review system requires sharing of human intelligence. Therefore, the wisdom shown in the process should also be shared.
