Abstract
In this turbulent time, readers are affected by different natural and man-made disasters. This presentation will discuss how picture books address the plights of the world, the conflicting emotions of the suffered, and humans’ resilience and recovery. These books are often inclined to encourage empathy and understanding among different parties.
