Abstract
本文以萊辛(Doris Lessing)的《金色筆記》(The Golden Notebook)中的獨立小說《自由女性》(Free Women)為討論對象,比較並分析兩個中譯本(分別由男譯者所譯),從小說的肖像描寫、敘述語言以及人物對話等三方面,來看男女譯者如何解讀和重現萊辛作品中理查(Richard)的形象,並討論譯者的性別意識及性別立場對翻譯的影響。This paper examines how translator gender influences the Chinese translations of Doris Lessing's Free Women. Specifically, the depiction of Richard as portrayed in the Chinese context. By studying two translated versions of the novel, one male and one female translator, in relation to gender, this paper attempts to demonstrate that translator gender can be a major variable in the translation of feminist fiction.
