Abstract
Do young children think about what it means to have a career in life? Twelve primary school children participated in a two-day cross-disciplinary workshop in which creative expression was integrated with
elements of early career awareness. Opportunities were provided for selfexploration and expression through the creation of poetry, drawings, and a mixed-media collage. At the end of the workshop, the children were interviewed, and findings indicate that children do start to develop career awareness early. In this group, children’s self-knowledge of strengths and interests positively affected talent development. The stories of their career dreams will be shared in this presentation.
