Abstract
Death is real, but is disseminating through hyperreality. The world is experiencing "the pandemic will not take place", then "the pandemic is not really taking place", and is moving towards "the pandemic did not take place". The mask is THE simularca that masqueraded the war, not only between countries, between ideologies, but also between reality and virtual reality, and most importantly, between death and economy. Re-reading Jean Baudrillard is not a way to look into psychology of crisis, and surely not to provide any solution for the crisis, but a way to debunking the production of simulacra of “safety, stability, and prosperity” that has never taken place.
