Abstract

For students of psychology interested in pursuing careers in psychology, Chapter 17 discusses the professional application of psychology by first looking at the work of professional associations in the West and in Asia. Then, it goes on to describe in further detail the professions of clinical psychology, counseling psychology, educational psychology, and industrial-organizational psychology. Information about preparing oneself for a career in psychology is also provided.
