Abstract: The current research found that search for meaning predicted prosociality (ß = 0.25, p=.001) after controlling for demographic variables, personalities, emotions, presence of meaning and death anxiety. While past research focused on the effect of prosociality on meaning, the present study suggested that search for meaning motivates prosociality.
