Abstract: | Two experiments were conducted to investigate whether exposure to natural environment facilitates restoration of self-regulatory strength. In experiment 1, depleted participants who viewed natural scenes persisted longer on an anagram task than did control participants. Experiment 2 extended this finding by validating the restorative effect in a logical reasoning task. |
