Abstract: Leaving hometown for college has become a common experience for college students in China. We are interested to see how this experience may impact college students’ career development, specifically their vocational identity, which is one of the most crucial career development tasks during this life stage. To this end, we will analyze the survey data from around 900 college students. Results will be discussed with implications for career services for this group of college students in China.
