dc.description.abstract | Vegetation and Universe: The Collection of Flower and Bird Paintings is a permanent exhibition at the Zhejiang Provincial Museum displaying more than seventy paintings from China’s Ming (1368–1644) and Qing Dynasties (1644–1912) to modern times (see Figure 1). Regardless of the painters’ region and fame, the paintings are listed chronologically: from mid-Ming painter Zhou Zhimian, late-Ming painters Wang Duo, Yang Wencong, and Chen Hongshou, Qing painters Mei Qing, Wang Shishen, Jin Nong, Luo Ping, Hang Shijun, Li Fangying, Qian Du, Zhu Weibi, Tang Yifen, Qian Zai, and He Shaoji, to modern times with Chen Chongguang, Huang Binhong, Yu Shaosong and so on. There are even painters such as Gu Shiqi, Wang Qi, and Tong Dan, whose works are rarely exhibited in other Chinese museums. | en_US |
