The current study examined the mediating role of work–life interference between work antecedents, psychological well-being and job satisfaction. A total of 1023 employees working in the hotel industry in Macau completed a questionnaire assessing interpersonal conflict, organizational constraints, lack of work control, work–life interference, psychological well-being and job satisfaction. Results showed that work–life interference mediated the effects of interpersonal conflict and lack of work control on both psychological well-being and job satisfaction. These findings illustrated that poor work conditions could generate work–life interference, and this could also negatively affect employees’ psychological well-being and job satisfaction. Practical implications and limitations are discussed.en_US
