Title: The recollection of childhood experience with grandparental involvement: A qualitative study

Abstract: The aim of this study was to explore and develop a better understanding of the experience of adult grandchildren living with and being brought up by their grandparents who have been act ed as their significant caregivers . Participants were ten adult individuals between the ages of 18 and 6 0 who have experienced grandparent involvement in their childhood and at the same time living with each other for ten years and above The focus of the study was on the individuals’ recollection of their childhood experience with their grandparents, as well as their perceived well being and development in relation to their upbringing with grandparent caregivers . Qualitative research approach, grounded theory was used in conducting this study’s investigation. Thematic analysis was the qualitative data analysis method used in this study. Finally, some implications of this study with regards to this field were described.
