Abstract: This is the second in a series of three articles considering Freudian dream theory in the light of recent neuroscientific findings (see Yu, 2001, for the first article). This second article focuses on the controversy surrounding the role of the ventromesial frontal region in dreaming. Specifically, it aims to identify the precise structures within this region that appear to instigate the dream process.
