Abstract: The Lunar New Year brings significant changes to the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre's ("HKIAC") Revised Arbitration Rules (the "Revised Rules"). HKIAC's Revised Rules reflect the latest developments in arbitration and aim to offer users greater choice and flexibility while making the process more efficient. Major revisions includes new caps for arbitral tribunal's fees, opportunities for joinder and consolidation of disputes, provisions for wider interim measures of protection, and the introduction of a novel procedure for appointing emergency arbitrators.
