Abstract: Since the advent of Web 2.0, there has been an increasing interest in taking advantage of its available technologies to support classroom courses. This paper reports the statistic from a survey of 77 university students who have experienced using YouTube for their economics term project. Questionnaire was used to investigate students' perceptions of using Web 2.0 tools in enhancing their learning. Pearson correlation has been employed to explore the relationship between the variables of the survey. In addition, this paper uses the standard ordered probit model as the statistical tool to investigate the factors that would affect students' perception of the effectiveness of using Web 2.0 in enhancing learning in higher education. This study also aims to trigger further investigation on using Web 2.0 tools to facilitate teaching and enhance learning in higher education.
