Data were collected from a sample of 402 Chinese social workers. Structural equation modeling was employed to test the study hypotheses. The results confirmed that career self-management behavior of Chinese social workers was significantly influenced by the perception of social work development. Organizational career support leads to higher levels of networking and attention-seeking career self-management behaviors. Social workers who have a positive perception of social work development in the macro environment will influence their career self-management behaviors.enOrganizational career support, perception of social work development, and career self-management of Chinese social workers: A structural equation modelingPeer Reviewed Journal Article10.1177/00208728251336937
