Transient mood changes and depressive realism. 26th International Congress of Psychology.1464-066X0020-7594http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11861/6878This study explores the recent concept of depressive realism-nondepressive illusion of control which challenges the cognitive theories of depression and the traditional model of mental health. Nondepressed and mildly depressed college students were randomly assigned to either happy, sad, or neutral mood induction, and were each given the computerized judgment of control tasks with zero, low, and high control. Results were mixed. The depressive realism effect was not as distinct as it was hypothesized, and mood X control 2-way interaction effects were found.enTransient mood changes and depressive realismConference Paper10.1080/00207594.1996.19960818
