Her research focuses on digital journalism, the sociology of news production, platform governance, censorship and media systems, AI and journalism, and Chinese media. She is also interested in sociopsychological approaches to micro-level information processing and media effects. Her work has been published in leading SSCI- and CSSCI-indexed journals in communication, including Digital Journalism, Journalism, Journalism Studies, Chinese Journal of Communication, and Journalism & Communication. She has also served as a guest editor for a special issue of an SSCI-indexed journal.
