In this presentation, first the unique social and emotional needs of gifted learners are explored. The interplay between environmental and personal factors in the talent development of gifted leaners will also be reviewed. Next, there will be a discussion on ways of fostering the well-being and career development of gifted learners through a strength-based approach in positive psychology, coaching and career counselling, and service-learning. Lastly, the implications for teacher and parent education will be discussed.enConference Paper
