These rhyme books recorded the pronunciation of Chinese characters. These phonetic materials are exotic, contemporary and exemplary. They are rare materials for us to study modern Chinese phonology. However, due to the difficulty in obtaining data, the value of these rhymes has not attracted more attention in China.
