Results in Study 1 revealed perceived social support as a salient predictor for help-seeking intention but failed to address moderation effect of implicit theories of person. Study 2 incorporated implicit theories of world and found that perceived social support was significant to predict help-seeking intention only for people with fixed world belief. Intervention by positive framing only enhanced treatment judgment but did not facilitate help-seeking intention for entity person theorists. Concern on the linkage between treatment perception and help-seeking intention was highlighted and the fitting-in process of entity world theorists was discussed.enPsychology, Counseling.Help-seeking behavior.Personal beliefs and characteristics toward seeking psychological help: The implicit theorySeeking psychological help.Thesis
