Department of Journalism & Communication
Mission
The Department offers applied journalism education to those who seek to cultivate a career in the internet, as well as the media industry in Hong Kong. The Department was launched in 1971, and has become one of the major Journalism and Public Relations & Advertising (PRA) teaching establishments in the HKSAR. Students are trained to possess language proficiency and be technologically competent, and learn the process and impact of communication in a variety of social contexts.
